GloPanels started in a place I never expected: a tough chapter of my life. While navigating depression, social anxiety, and unpredictable moods, I began to notice something powerful: my space had a huge impact on how I felt. One simple comment from my mum stuck with me: “Your room is a reflection of your mind.” And honestly? She was right.
So I decided to do something about it. I started transforming my room into a space that felt vibrant, expressive, and unapologetically me. What began as a way to cope quickly turned into a creative obsession. I played with colours, shapes, and layouts, designing wall panels I could swap and change depending on my mood. When traditional strip lights fell flat (especially when switched off), I built my own; lighting that looked good all the time, not just when it was glowing.
As my space changed, so did I. Creating these panels gave me back a sense of control, turning my room into a personal sanctuary that supported how I wanted to feel each day.
That hobby grew into GloPanels. What started as a creative outlet became a way to help others do the same: take control of their space, express themselves, and create environments that actually support their mood.
